Carey started Lucy Pearlle in 2015, originally as a furniture refinishing and vintage event business. It later grew into a studio and store front in April 2017 in Wellesley, Ontario. In June 2018, the business expanded into another studio. Lucy Pearlle quickly became recognized as an award winning vintage furniture restoration studio. The business had to pivot, like many others, when COVID hit. Carey closed down the studio and storefront and focused the business solely on custom refinishing of furniture and kitchens. From then on, the business bloomed into what it is today: just recently opening a new studio to accommodate the high demand from clients. Carey has made it her mission to create a female only renovation and restoration studio and to remain authentic and transparent as the owner and founder of Lucy Pearlle Studio.
